Doesn't everyone wish he could fence?...It is violence refined into beauty; air and fire, rather than earth and water. We think of Cyrano, Zorro and the Three Musketeers.

The Portland Fencing Center is located in the historic Dana Warp Mill on the Presumpscott River. An early 19th century silk spinning mill, Dana Warp has been remade into a modern facility housing a variety of businesses. The Mill is ten minutes from Maine Turnpike, Exit 47. Located on the top floor, PFC is fully air-conditioned and features three regulation fencing strips complete with electronic scoring equipment. |

The Center also has an Armourer's Room for weapon repair and lockers available for rent. A seating area is provided for spectators. The open space afforded by the former textile factory makes an ideal setting for a fencing studio, perfect for classes of any size, and big enough to house regional fencing tournaments. In fact, PFC has been host to competitions ranging from matches between New England clubs up to United States Fencing Association regional qualifying tournaments. |

| Directions: From Maine Turnpike north or south: Take Exit 47. Off the exit, make a left on Rand Road. Follow Rand Road to the intersection of Main Street.
