Beginner Program
Our Beginner Program introduces new athletes to the fundamentals of fencing in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. Fencers learn basic footwork, blade skills, rules, sportsmanship, and how to fence with confidence.
The program is designed for those with little or no previous fencing experience. Equipment is provided, and beginners are not required to purchase an annual PFC membership. All beginners however, must register for a USA Fencing Access Membership and complete the required waiver before participating.
Students are expected to complete two beginner sessions before moving into Club Track, the next step in the PFC training pathway. This gives each fencer time to build a strong foundation, become comfortable with fencing, and develop the skills needed to continue in the sport.
Our Fast Track lessons may be recommended for some fencers who feel they would benefit from individual instruction, but is not required for every student.
2026-2027 Season starts Sept 8th
